Side Slits

Friday, February 12, 2016

TGIF, friends! Welcoming this weekend with open arms. To start it off right, I'm featuring a side-slit sweater that has been one of my favorites recently. Grey sweaters have sure made their way into my closet as a staple... and this one is one that will be super cute to wear into spring, especially paired with some distressed denim shorts! I'm a big fan of sweaters and shorts paired together. This past week we've been dealing with a few feet of snow... it took me an hour to get home the other night, when it normally takes me 20 minutes. Craziness!

I paired this sweater with my go-to denim. One thing I'm crazy about (if you haven't yet noticed) is a good pair of denim. I have my fair share of dark jeans that are easy to take from day to night and can basically be paired with anything... but my true favorites are the lighter, distressed jeans. Something so casual about them makes me happy. I'm more into casual, lighter looks than dressier ones. I hope you all had a great week so far... and have an even better weekend! I have some looks set up for next week that I'm excited to share with you. Xoxo!

Grey Cropped Sweater

Thursday, February 11, 2016

Grey has been my new black lately... especially paired with white. I love the color that I am constantly wearing it... it's gotten so bad that Alex even notices when I throw a tee shirt on and he says "that looks like every other shirt you have in your closet". Oooops...sorry, not sorry. Something so classic about the color and so refreshing for spring. If you haven't noticed... I'm definitely not a red or bright pink person, aside from holiday red. I don't think I'm a huge fan of Valentine's colors. I like to keep it neutral, which is always okay.

This week has gotten a little better... aside from all the snow! It's going by a bit faster than it had started, which is always a plus. I am off today which means I will make sure I get to see my baby nephew! I always look forward to the days where I spend them with him. It's so crazy that even when a week goes by... the next time I see him it seems like he's grown an inch. So sad to see them grow up so fast!! I hope you are all having a fabulous week and today is even more fab. Xo to you guys!!

Spring Fever

Wednesday, February 10, 2016

I am having major spring fever with all of the snow this week! It's been so cold and yucky out... that's the only way to describe it. So all I want to do is dream of the warm weather and all the clothes that go along with it. Here are some of my wish list items for the spring season coming up. I am still coveting off-the-shoulder tops! I don't think I will ever get sick of them.... and how cute is this backpack!? I've been obsessing over this shape in a handbag!! Happy hump day. I'll be daydreaming of vaca all day! XO

Neutral Puffer Jacket

Tuesday, February 9, 2016

Hi loves! Happy Tuesday. I feel like I am constantly in pea coats and long jackets during the entire winter and I wanted to change things up! I fell in love with the color of this parka and how lightweight it is. It's always hard for me to find a puffer coat that I would wear on a day-to-day basis. This one is just that. I paired it with one of my favorite go-to dark jeans lately, James Jeans. They are so comfortable because of how much stretch is in them!

You all know how much I love my neutrals... which explains my hat and boot combo. These booties were a recent addition to my shoe closet and they ended up matching this hat perfectly. This week has already been a drag (who else's Monday lasted forever?!). I hope you are having a good week thus far, I'm already looking forward to tomorrow.... hump day! Xo

Little Brown Dress

Monday, February 8, 2016

We meet again, Monday! I hope you all had a great weekend. The weather was perfect... no snow and the temp was in the 40s. I can't complain. Today I am featuring this little number from Shop Sosie that I had mentioned last week. Save 20% off your entire order at Shop Sosie with code "fashionablykay20". The drop waist is my favorite feature and I adore the color. I paired this with my OTK boots from JustFab and the all white side of my Henri Bendel. It was a bit chilly the day I decided to shoot this look so my mom and I were parked right next to this white wall... so I ran over for just enough time to snap a few shots and ran back to the car before I froze!

I am having major spring fever lately... and have been wanting to walk out without having to bundle up or wipe snow off of my car. I know you guys are with me! Once February hits, I think everyone is ready for some warm sunshine. Al and I decided we wanted to save up for a Disney World trip next Summer and treat ourselves to some spa days. Of course, it's now all I can think about. It'll come soon though! Happy Monday my loves and have a good one!
