Winter Wonderland + 2018 Goals


Happy 2018, friends! We've officially made it through the first week of the new year. I hope you guys had a wonderful NYE and holiday. It's been a bit since I last posted on here; I took a little hiatus/work detox around the holidays and it was much needed. Balance is key! I've been spending lots of time with family and friends and my two boys at home. We're redecorating our apartment little by little and investing in pieces that we will bring into our future home. So we've had a lot going on over here!


I'm sharing one of my favorite locations so far this winter with you. This is in my hometown, Medina, for those of you that aren't familiar with it. This is a private drive (the end of it!) and the entrance is seriously stunning. Both sides are lined with a wooden fence and once it was covered in the snowfall, I couldn't help myself. I was driving to my moms from Hudson and I immediately fell in love and told my mom "I know where we're shooting today!", lol. One of those moments. I'm sharing some of my goals and resolutions for the new year to come with you guys (see below). I've included my top priorities that I am going to hold myself accountable for. What are some of your goals for 2018? Comment them below! xo

2018 Goals + Resolutions:

1. Travel Often: Alex and I have made this one of our top priorities this year. We want to travel together before life gets in the way or we aren't able to anymore. We have quite a few trips planned and I can't wait to take you guys along!

2. Balance Work & Life: This one is mostly for myself... I tend to pick up my phone during quality time with the boys in the evenings and scroll through emails, social channels, etc. Making more time for real life this year meaning signing off of work/socials completely for a few evenings a week!

3. Taking Time for Myself: This one ties in with #2 but has more to do with making time for doing things that I love and need in order to be a better person. Even one hour a day to take the time to read my devotional, a chapter of a good book or even just journal, will make all the difference. I used to be so good about this and I want to get back on track.

4. Fitness: Getting back into a habit this year! For a few months in 2017, I was SO good with the gym. Our gym ended up closing down and Planet Fitness is being put in place but not until Spring. No more excuses... I want to put our health first and start taking care of my body.

5. Staying Focused: This pertains to me actually sitting in my office working on the tasks that I have given myself that day. I tend to bring my laptop into every room BUT my office and get distracted by a  million other things that need done around the house. We are redecorating my office and now that about half of it is done, I love being in here more already!
