Current Beauty Favorites

I'm so excited to share my current beauty faves with you girls today!! I get a bunch of DMs over on Instagram asking which products I'm using or what I'm loving so I thought why not!? You know I'm no beauty expert so I am just sharing what works for me in this post and not saying that it'll work for everyone! I have fair skin (I get spray tans once a week!) and it's pretty red/blotchy so I tend to switch my foundation/powders but I will share what has worked for me and my skincare routine.

If you girls follow me along on Instagram then you know I've been testing out these Tula products that they had sent to me. I've heard nothing but amazing things in the past about this line so I was super excited to try them out. Turns out... everything I have heard is true! The entire line is probiotic-packed and free of parabens & toxins - so that's definitely something I love about the brand. I've listed the four products I use on a weekly basic below! **Discount code: KAY20**

1. Purifying Cleanser - This cleanser is probably my favorite cleanser I've ever used on my skin. I don't have super sensitive skin but it gets red, quick. I love that this is super soft (even when gently exfoliating) and leaves my skin super clean, smooth and bright! I even got Alex hooked on this cleanser and that's saying a lot, lol!

2.  Pro-Glycolic 10% PH Resurfacing Gel - This alcohol-free toner leaves your skin feeling super smooth and basically gives you the 'no pores' look. I don't know about you but I always feel like my pores are huge when I'm putting on my foundation so this toner seriously helps me minimize the look of them and leaves my skin feeling amazing! I use this step right after washing my face and before my moisturizer.

3. Aqua Infusion Oil-Free Gel Cream - This moisturizer is equivalent to drinking 8 glasses of water for your skin! This is a major yes for me because due to getting spray tans every week and taking off makeup overnight, my face tends to stay dry especially in the evenings. This moisturize has seriously helped tremendously and doesn't leave your skin feeling too 'oily' what so ever.

4. Kefir Ultimate Recovery Mask - Unlike the first three Tula products I shared, I use this one only twice a week. I look forward to using this mask unlike any other mask because it's so dang easy!! After you wash your face like usual in the evening, all you do is put two pumps of the product on you hand and rub into your skin. The color is like an iridescent purple/white and feels so good on your skin. You can leave it on for 10 minutes, gently wipe your wash using a damp washcloth and rub the rest into your skin! Sometimes, I even leave it on there for the entire evening and it soaks into my face leaving it refreshed and minimizing signs of distress.

I also use a few other skin care products on top of the Tula ones that I shared above with you! Caudalie is one of my favorite skin care brands since my girlfriend introduced me to them. They are on the pricier side so I wanted to just share my two absolute favorites with you that I use on a daily basis. I think these are the two must-haves out of the bunch!

1. Caudalie Beauty Elixir - This is one of my absolute fave products to have with me at all times... I spray it on my face when I'm going makeup-free to just have a glow, I also use it when my face is feeling dry from just daily things and give it a little 'refresh'. It acts also as a toner so it tightens your pores (you girls know I love that!). One of my favorite ways to use this is to set my makeup right after I'm finished. It helps keep it fresh and gives you a perfect glow that you're always trying to achieve!

2. Radiance Serum - I  know I have mentioned this above but I have super red/blotchy skin naturally so this product helps even out my skin tone while taking dark spots/patches away. I use this right before putting on my makeup primer. I love evening out my skin before applying foundation since it makes the foundation sit much nicer. It also gives your skin a great 'glow' to begin with before adding any makeup which is perfect going into the spring & summer months!

Now onto the makeup favorites...! Some of these I just started using and absolutely love and others I've been using for years. Most of them are drug store finds and super affordable (I'm all about saving a penny when it comes to makeup!). I do like to splurge on certain products so be sure to read about each one and why I love using them.

1. Maybelline FIT ME! Matte + Poreless Foundation - So my baby sister actually got me hooked on this foundation last summer and I've been using it ever since. Like I mentioned above, I have larger pores than most so this smoothes them out evenly leaving my skin look flawless than it actually is! I love the way it blends on the skin, too. I apply it using my favorite beauty sponge (linked here). I put on my foundation first and my concealer second!

2. Maybelline FIT ME! Concealer - Another product that my little sister showed me, lol. She loooves watching YouTube videos all dang day of her favorite beauty gurus and I'm the opposite! I love the fashion side of things (but she has definitely turned me when it comes to caring about my skin and makeup products!). This concealer goes on super smooth and blends perfectly with the FIT ME! foundation so I love pairing them together.

3. E.L.F. Cosmetics Bronzer Palette - I use the "Deep Bronze" palette for contouring my face and seriously love this palette! The shade I use the most is the top left which works perfectly when I have a spray tan or even when I'm naturally pale. I don't use a whole ton but its perfect for an easy contour (& it's only $6!??!).

4. N.Y.X. Pro Fan Brush - This is a newer brush of mine that I received with NYX sent me a PR package but I ended up loving it! I use it for contouring and it works amazing. The bristles are super soft which I love and especially for the price point, you can't beat it.

5. Airspun Loose Powder - Okay... my best friend turned me onto this product and I have to say.. it's amazing. It's seriously like $6 and it will last you FOREVER. Not to mention it smells too good to be true and works wonders! I've used so many loose powders in the past that basically do nothing for more money. This one keeps your face looking matte and keeps the oil away - which is definitely something I can appreciate!

6. Tarte Amazonian 12-Hr Blush - This one in my birthday gift from Sephora last year and I'm so glad I ended up picking this one because this blush is amazing. The shade that I use is "paaarty" and it's the most perfect shade of neutral pink!

7. Real Techniques Miracle Complexion Sponge - I get these normally in the set of two since you save a few pennies that way but you can also buy just one, here. I've tried a bunch of different kinds of sponges and personally, this one is my favorite. It's not hard like other drug store sponges that I've tried and it blends super well!

8. Butter London Stroke of WOW Volumizing Mascara - This was another product that was sent to me but I was super excited to try! I've been using this for about two months now and I love how it makes my lashes look. I have naturally super long lashes so I don't do extensions or anything but I do love a mascara that helps a girl out. This has two sides to the bristles and both help maximize the length and look tremendously!

9. N.Y.X. Butter Gloss - You girls know that this is seriously my everyday go-to gloss. I love to wear it alone or even over top of my matte lipstick (this one is my fave). I have sooo many shades that I truly love and wear often but if I were to name the two I wear most it would be 'Vanilla Cream Pie' & 'Creme Brûlée'. The Vanilla Cream Pie is definitely the pinkier shade which is what I gravitate towards in the warmer months!

10. N.Y.X. Honey Dew Me Up Skim Serum & Primer - I just started using this last week but I must say, I really like it! It's great for spring/summer months since it does leave you with that 'glow' look and it's a great alternative to spending more money than you want on a radiance serum!

11.  Stila Eyes Are The Window Palette - One of my good friends bought this for me a few years ago and I've been addicted to it ever since! She knew I loved my original Stila Eye Palette that was discontinued so she chose this one and it's almost like my original. I have the "Soul" palette and the colors and brown/neutral which work perfectly with blue eyes!

12. Laura Geller Glow For It Baked Gelato Swirl Illuminator Trio - I snagged this trio last summer while at Ulta and it took me months to actually try these colors. When I did, I never went back to my old highlighter!
